You knew it was coming 🙂 I’ve been on a Black Butler binge this week, trying to finish the series before I can dwell on the tragic storyline. Because, just like Death Note, we knew the ending from the beginning, and the only comfort is that one Dr. Seuss quote: “Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened.”
Not that anyone was smiling during the Death Note finale, and not like I’m not going to cry at the inevitable close of Black Butler. But something to keep in mind.
ANYWAY.
Name: Ciel Phantomhive
Age: 13
Bio: Ciel was born the heir to a large toy and candy factory, the Funtom Company. Unfortunately, his parents both died in a successful arson on their mansion, and Ciel was kidnapped and tortured by the offenders. Outraged and vowing to get his revenge, he summoned a demon named Sebastian Michaelis and offered a trade: if Sebastian would follow Ciel’s every whim and protect him with his life until the day Ciel got revenge on the people who killed his parents, Sebastian could take Ciel’s soul.

Now the two of them, along with chainsaw-wielding Grell, three incompetent servants, an attention-starved werewolf, and a bunch of other crazy supporting characters, are on a mission for revenge and justice.
Personality: Ciel is cold and detached. His thirst for revenge drowns out everything else, and he can have quite a sadistic sense of humor. Get on his nerves and you’ll regret it– call him an incompetent child and you won’t live ’till sunrise.
His soft spot, however, is Sebastian (sometimes) and his friend and fiancee, Elizabeth.
Quote: “I’m arrogant, but not so much that I’d irresponsibly save someone just to brag about it.”
