Happy Birthday, My Dear Artemis

To the love of my life, Artemis Fowl,

This year has been full of precious memories spent with you, in my head as well as those few moments of real-world contact last September. I cherish every thought of you, dream of your devious grin and incredibly brilliant mind. Every morning when I wake, I kiss the cover of The Atlantis Complex, tell you good morning, and begin the day knowing that, if you were real, you’d help me make breakfast and combat the monotony that is public schooling.

Though I still haven’t heard back from you on my marriage proposal, I’m sure you’ll come around. I know you like to take your time to consider such commitments, and I admire that about you. Take as much time as you need, Artemis. (And maybe we should both wait until we’re, y’know, out of our teen years.)

Young love is such a beautiful thing, is it not? I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life dreaming about you and wishing you existed.

In the meantime, Random Totally Hot Artemis Actor, you have my email. I’ll be waiting~ ❤

Your Beloved, Aloha

(A sampling of posts I’ve written about Eoin Colfer’s uber-hot teenage evil genius: Meeting Artemis: the hype (part 1, part 2), the interview, the proposal; HFG: Artemis, Valentines Serenade to Artemis, Arty at Hogwarts, Pulling an “Artemis” during the zombie apocalypse.)

(Yeah, you heard me. That’s a SAMPLING. Search his name below the header and to the right to see all of them.)

OK… I’m not so stuck on Arty myself, though I do like him. I like writing (and therefore reading) as well.
