Yesterday my sister and I preordered Skyward Sword, complete with the special-edition triforce-covered Wii remote and 25th Anniversary Zelda CD. Did I just spend all my money? Yes. Was it worth it?
Well, I’ll answer that next month. *sigh*
(Highly-anticipated video game already preordered, released 2/3 of the way through November: NaNoWriMo incentive much?)
Or maybe just totally stupid, because when it comes, writing will be the LAST thing on my mind. I’ll be all, “WHOOSH SWOOSH PWNING MONSTERS HERE LINK AWESOME WIN FINISHED GAME IN 20 HOURS”.
Either that, or “Well, great, I lasted five minutes but now I need a tutorial”, which is how my video game experiences usually seem to go. And the first four and a half minutes are always cutscenes.
It’s just something about the hand-eye coordination. Sports, action video games, catching things people throw at you, Angry Birds…. I’m better when given a text-based RPG or, better yet, a pencil. Although sometimes I tap my pencil too hard on the desk and it flies over by the teacher in the middle of class, and I have to stand up and awkwardly retrieve it….
WOW this is a terribly rambly post. I give you complete permission to go do something more entertaining, like watch an adorable cat video. Look, I even gave you a hyperlink.
For those of you determined to stick it out with me, you can click this instead, and do whatever the heck you want with it. Put it on your blog, print it out and stick it on your wall, iron it to a t-shirt…..
I’d do all of those things, but it’d be considered arrogant and big-headed, and we all know I’m NEITHER. Clearly.
Okay, I know that only a handful (if even) of my subscribers enjoy reading about anime, manga, and Vocaloid, which is why I’ve toned down my writing on the subjects and even tried to keep the HFGs (hot fictional guys) to books and well-known movies.
So explain to me why my top posts are Series Overview: Fullmetal Alchemist, HFG: Len Kagamine, HFG: Edward Elric, and HFG: L, all anime or Vocaloid-related….. and why a good number of my views come from searches of anime characters. (Also, someone found the blog while searching for an Ugg boots retailer, which I found funny.)
I’m confused… and encouraged that people would share my interests, but not wanting to alienate my more loyal blog readers by constantly writing about things they don’t care about.
Haters gonna hate, but I’d still rather write things that you guys, my friends, really care about.
Okay, this Queen Amidala poster is staring straight down at me. And she always scared me as a child. (I thought her giant headdress thing was a set of horns, and that her odd makeup choice meant she was dying or bleeding, or both.)
And if you actually survived this long through the post, then you deserve a super-ultra awesome award. Here you go.
